Standard Features
USA WorldTel offers several standard audio conferencing services that are available to you at no additional charge. Following is a list of these services:

  • Billing Codes/References
    At your request, specific billing codes or references will be noted on your invoice, to help you manage allocations or charge backs.
  • Call Out to Late Participants
    During Meet-Me conferences, you may signal a USA WorldTel audio conference coordinator and ask that late participants be called and reminded of the conference. The audio conference coordinator can announce late participants or place them into the call silently, per your instructions. Moderators of Meet-Me conferences are contacted automatically if they have not joined the conference five minutes after its scheduled start time.
  • Listen only Mode
    The moderator may elect to be the only participant, or one of several designated participants, with the ability to speak during the conference call. All other participants are muted. This is recommended especially for large calls.
  • Music on Hold
    While waiting for the conference call to be assembled, participants can listen to music, reassuring them that they are connected to the conference.
  • Roll Call
    To verify attendance and identify participants for the benefit of the group, USA WorldTel’s audio conference coordinators will perform a roll call once all participants have joined.
  • Security
    This USA WorldTel service allows you to "lock" your conference call to ensure privacy. USA WorldTel’s security feature locks out all additional participants, as well as USA WorldTel’s audio conference coordinators. The moderator is typically the only participant to receive instructions on how to "lock" or "unlock" the call.
  • Subconference
    You may have your conference call separated into smaller working groups before, during and after your conference.

USA WorldTel offers several enhanced audio conferencing services that are available to you for an additional charge. Following is a list of these services.
  • Communication Line
    USA WorldTel can keep an open telephone line with the conference call host to verify participant attendance, provide updates on the number of participants joined, or have other dialog relative to the conference call that may be inappropriate to conduct in the conference itself.
  • Digital Replay
    USA WorldTel can digitally record the conference call and make it available for playback, 24 hours a day, for as long as you require, so designated parties can access a recording of the conference call at their convenience.
  • Electronic Q&A
    This service allows you to conduct large meetings and take questions at appropriate times during the conference. The Q&A session can take place before, during or after the presentation, or any time, as many times as needed, during your conference. This operator-assisted service entails having all but the main speaker(s) in a Listen Only mode. When members of the listening audience want to ask a question, they simply press a button on their telephone keypads.
  • Location Level Billing
    USA WorldTel can set up independent accounts and bill each participant for their portion of the conference call. Register for this service while making your reservation. 24-hour notice is required.
  • Participant List
    Either during or at the conclusion of your conference call, USA WorldTel can send you a list of conference participants via fax or e-mail.
  • Participant Pre-notification
    USA WorldTel can call or fax reminders to participants 24 hours in advance of your conference.
  • Polling/Voting
    While in Listen Only mode, participants can respond to questions by pressing codes on their telephone keypads. Tabulations and results are available instantaneously, or at the conclusion of your call.
  • Rebroadcast
    Your conference can be recorded for playback at a later date or time, as scheduled during the initial reservation of your conference.
  • Recording
    USA WorldTel can record your conference call on audiocassette tape or compact disc, and send recordings to you via regular or overnight mail. Additional copies can be sent to multiple locations.
  • Transcription
    Your conference call can be transcribed by USA WorldTel, in its entirety, and provided to you in written format, on a 3.5" diskette, or via e-mail.
  • Translation
    Your conference call can be translated into most foreign languages and provided to you in written format, on a 3.5" diskette, or via e-mail.
  • Audio Streaming
    This service lets you add an unlimited number of listen-only participants to your audio conference via the Internet. When the audio conference is ready to begin, participants simply log on to your corporate web site and click on a pre-designated link. Your audio conference is broadcast over the Internet to each individual's PC. As an added convenience USA WorldTel can archive your audio streaming session and make it available on your web site for playback at a later date. Customer requirements are minimal: Multimedia PC, Internet access and a streaming media player (RealPlayerTM or MediaPlayerTM). A USA WorldTel audio streaming specialist will work with you in advance to coordinate the logistics of your meeting.
